Green had a tumultuous season last year as he averaged just 8.9 points on a dismal 39.2 percent from the field.
The 6’8″ swingman was a longshot to return after the Miami Heat added both James Johnson and Derrick Williams in free agency.
Green’s departure now leaves just Amar’e Stoudemire and Dorell Wright as the only unsigned free agents from last year’s roster.
