It appears the Heat will have the No. 13 seed in the upcoming 2019 NBA Draft.

Miami Heat exit their tiebreaker drawing with the No. 13 seed in the May 14 NBA draft lottery. At 39-43, they could have finished the drawing at No. 12, No. 13 or No. 14. They have a 4.7-percent chance of moving up to one of the first four picks in the draft.

Since the Heat, Charlotte Hornets and Sacramento Kings all finished with a 39-43 record, a drawing was needed to determine who would be the No. 12, No.13 and No.14 seed in the upcoming draft. The Heat now have a 4.7 percent chance to move up to one of the first four picks in the draft.
Although the 13th pick in the draft is not phenomenal, it certainly has bore some amazing fruit in the past. Rising stars Devin Booker, Donovan Mitchell and Zach LaVine are all players who have been selected with the mid-tier pick in prior drafts.
Perhaps with Heat legend Dwyane Wade now retired, the next homegrown superstar could be in the 2019 draft. Wade finished his career with averages of 22.0 points, 5.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game.
