The Miami Heat are going to need Bam Adebayo to take a serious leap forward this season if they hope to make a deep playoff run.
Based off of his recent performances in the Miami Pro League, it seems that step is right around the corner. On Saturday, Adebayo was named the league’s MVP after averaging some truly gaudy numbers.

Last season, Adebayo averaged 8.9 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game. While those are not eye-popping numbers, the University of Kentucky product will likely get ample opportunities to best his career-highs.
With the departure of big man Hassan Whiteside via trade earlier this offseason, Adebayo figures to be a major factor in the Heat’s frontcourt.
If he can get anywhere close to his Summer League averages, there’s little doubt that the Heat will be a force in the Eastern Conference this season.
