Bosh has been around the Heat organization quite a bit recently, having shown up to the team’s game on Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers as well as spending time with Heat team president Pat Riley at American Airlines Arena.
After Friday’s win over the Cavaliers, Bosh was gifted a signed jersey by Dwyane Wade, as the two friends shared a special moment.

The 34-year-old big man, who spent six seasons with the Heat, hasn’t played in the NBA since Feb. 9, 2016 because of blood clots. In those six seasons, Bosh averaged 18.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, making six All-Star games and winning two championships.
Current Heat center Bam Adebayo was appreciative that Bosh showed up to help out.
“It’s pretty cool, just him coming back, showing love,” said Adebayo. “He gave me a couple of tips. And just hearing from somebody who’s been through this organization and has two championships, it’s just something you can’t get better than that.”
As part of the settlement that was reached with the Heat in 2017, Bosh is not allowed to return to the team at any point in his playing career.
The Georgia Tech University product said earlier this year that he hadn’t retired yet and was still looking into possibly coming back to the league.
When it was announced on July, 4, 2017 that Bosh had been officially waived by the Heat, Riley said that the team will someday retire Bosh’s jersey.
“We will forever be indebted to CB (Bosh) for how he changed this team and led us to four trips to the NBA Finals and two NBA Championships,” said Riley. “He is, without a doubt, one of the greatest players in the history of the franchise. The number ‘1’ will never be worn by another player and we can’t wait to someday hang his jersey in the rafters.”
Through his NBA career, the fourth overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft averaged 19.2 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
