Bam Adebayo Still Not Over Team USA Roster Cut as He Sends Strong Message to Critics

Bam Adebayo Team USA

Last summer, Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo was cut from Team USA’s roster in advance of the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

It seems as though the snub is still fresh in his mind, as evidenced by one of his recent social media posts.

Adebayo went on to have a breakout season this year for the Heat.

Prior to the suspension of the 2019-20 campaign, he was putting up 16.2 points a game, almost doubling his scoring output from the previous season. He also posted 10.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists a game as he expanded his skills.

For those efforts, Adebayo earned his first appearance in the All-Star Game, and is starting to be considered as one of the better centers in the game.

With his unique combination of traditional big man and guard skills, one must wonder how much better he’ll continue to get as his young career progresses.

Although Adebayo may still have hurt feelings over last summer’s snub, he was recently named as a finalist for the United States Olympic team.

Fellow Heat All-Star Jimmy Butler was also named as one of the 44 other finalists.
