That’s because on Wednesday it was reported by Marc Stein of the New York Times that Miami is Butler’s preferred destination.

This comes just days after it was reported that the Heat was the most aggressive team in its pursuit of the All-Star small forward.
Adding Butler to an already playoff-contending team would immediately turn the Heat into one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.
The Heat is reportedly making Hassan Whiteside, Tyler Johnson, Dion Waiters and Justise Winslow available in a trade for Butler.
