Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro recently posted an intriguing photo of himself on Twitter that strongly hints that he has signed an endorsement deal with Nike.
The photo shows Herro with the brand’s classic slogan.
It would not be a huge surprise if Herro had indeed been offered a deal with the shoe company. Many around the league believe that the 6-foot-5 guard has the potential to be a special player.
One of his supporters is Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell, who believes Herro has a chance to win the Rookie of the Year award this season.
Former NBA player Olden Polynice thinks that the University of Kentucky product is similar to Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson, but “with handles.”
His fellow rookie on the Heat, KZ Okpala, believes that Herro’s confidence is what will take him far in his basketball career. Landing a Nike endorsement deal could boost his confidence further heading into the regular season.
The University of Kentucky product averaged 14.0 points per game on 46.2 percent shooting from the field, including 35.5 percent from 3-point territory in his single collegiate season.
The Heat drafted Herro with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. If his Summer League play is of any indication, Miami could have the steal of the draft on its hands.
