On Wednesday, Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade posted a video on his Instagram account reflecting on his season and future in the NBA.

“Yo man, moments after, 15th year. You know, a lot of emotions go through your mind. Obviously you would love for a better ending, but you can’t forget all of the good things about it,” said Wade. “Another year to live out a lifelong dream of playing in the NBA. Individually, to be walking away healthy right now, to being able to accomplish some of the things, to be back in Miami. There’s a lot of good things about this season that I’ll sit down and I’ll think about.”
When asked if this was it for him in the NBA, Wade shrugged and smiled:
“I don’t know. Stay tuned.”
Wade returned to the Heat this season after being acquired in a trade with the Cleveland Cavaliers at the trade deadline. He played in 21 games for the Heat, averaging 12.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 22.2 minutes per game. In the playoffs, he played 25.4 minutes per game, averaging 16.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.4 steals.
The Marquette University product has already said that he will not leave the Heat again in his career and that he will stay with the team until he retires.
At 36 years old, Wade has been in the NBA since the 2003-04 season and has won three championships. He’s also been selected to 12 All-Star teams and has been named the Finals MVP once.
If he does decide to retire, it will be the end for a player that has spent nearly all of his career with the Heat and leads the franchise in games played (876), minutes played (31,027), points (20,473), assists (5,009) and steals (1,433).
