A day before its preseason debut against the Washington Wizards, the Miami Heat has revealed its first official starting lineup, per Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.
As expected, Goran Dragic (point guard), Justise Winslow (small forward) and Hassan Whiteside (center) made the cut.

However, the other two positions, which were up for much debate, have finally been revealed. The big question as to who would start at shooting guard has been answered: Dion Waiters. The former No. 4 pick in the 2012 draft will receive the starting nod alongside the former No. 2 pick in the 2011 draft, Derrick Williams, who gets the power forward role.
The long-awaited announcement of the starting lineup comes after a gruesome summer for the Heat. Chris Bosh would have easily started at power forward and Dwyane Wade at shooting guard. Instead, a couple of journeyman fighting for their NBA career will take the floor.
It also shows off Winslow’s transition to the big league. No longer a rookie behind a cast of stars, the 20-year-old will most likely own the small forward position for the entire year.
The Heat take on the Wizards tomorrow evening in Washington, D.C.
