When Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade plays his final regular season game on April 10 versus the Brooklyn Nets, one of the fans at the game will be Wade’s close friend and former teammate LeBron James.
James’ 2018-19 career has come to an end as it was reported that the Los Angeles Lakers have decided to shut him down for the team’s final six games due to medical reasons.

James and Wade were teammates for four seasons from 2010 to 2014. That period of time marked the most successful stretch of success in the Heat’s history, with the team capturing two NBA titles in 2012 and 2013.
For Wade, that game will mark the culmination of what’s been a season-long farewell tour.
Depending on how the Heat’s final games leading up to that contest play out, it could be the final game of his career. Right now, the Heat have a slim lead for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference with seven games left to play.
When James left the Heat in 2014, he returned to his original team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and promptly led the franchise to their first-ever NBA title in 2016.
Like his time with the Heat, James led the Cavs to four straight finals appearances. He then decided to sign with the Lakers last July.
This season, an injury-plagued campaign for the 34-year-old James has been deadly to the postseason hopes of the Lakers.
For the first time in 14 seasons, James will not compete in the playoffs.
