According to former NBA forward Matt Barnes, who recently made an appearance on ESPN’s “The Jump,” the Miami Heat are reportedly looking to bring both Jimmy Butler and Bradley Beal to South Beach.

“I hear [the Heat] are trying to pair [Butler] with Bradley Beal,” said Barnes.
After what was predicted to be a relatively quiet offseason for the Heat, it seems that Heat president Pat Riley isn’t going to wait until 2020 to make a big splash. That’s because the Heat currently have no cap space to work with. But that doesn’t mean they can’t trade for big-name players now.
While the Heat have already parted ways with coveted swingman Josh Richardson in order to bring in Butler, they will likely have to trade point guard Goran Dragic and other young assets in order to acquire Beal as well.
Beal would bring immediate offense to a Heat team that desperately needs it, as the shooting guard averaged 25.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in 82 games last season.
While Butler immediately becomes the Heat’s best two-way player, as the four-time All-Star averaged 18.7 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.0 assists last season.
Brace yourself Heat Nation, we’re in for a wild 2019 offseason.
