Throughout the Jimmy Butler trade discussions, the Minnesota Timberwolves have made it abundantly clear they want to extract every bit of value from a potential move that is possible.
They desire certain pieces in return for the 29-year-old star, and don’t seem ready to compromise. The Miami Heat have tried to cooperate with their demands, but their previous offers have yet to satisfy the Timberwolves.
Lost in all of the trade talks and reports surrounding the Houston, Texas native is perhaps the best player available to Minnesota according to one source: Goran Dragic.

Josh Richardson and Bam Adebayo have been mentioned as potential players that the Timberwolves would accept in a trade. Richardson, a 25-yeard old guard, is a budding young player with a team-friendly contract. He averaged 12.9 points, 2.9 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game during the 2017-2018 season.
Adebayo, on the other hand, appeared in 69 games last year and amassed 6.9 points, 5.5 rebounds and 0.6 blocks per game.
The Timberwolves could be overlooking possibly the best player on the Heat’s roster in Dragic. The 10-year veteran point guard has been given a top-50 player ranking in years past and might still be. Last year, the 32-year-old reached 17.3 points, 4.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds per game with the Heat.
The question of which combination of players and picks will satisfy the Timberwolves’ voracious requests for Butler is still up for debate. It seems as if the Timberwolves have someone specific in mind, but have planted a moving target for interested teams to hit. With the regular season fast approaching, the Timberwolves will look to make the perfect deal for their organization.
