Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn Get Rookie of the Year Votes in Latest ESPN Poll

The Miami Heat have certainly benefited from the contributions that have come from rookies Tyler Herro and Kendrick Nunn throughout the 2019-20 season.

While neither player is likely to win the Rookie of the Year award by the end of the season, it certainly looks like they have gained quite a bit of attention for their talent.

In fact, both players reportedly received votes for the award amongst 70 voters.

So far this season, Nunn and Herro have both made their talents quite clear.

Herro is averaging 12.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game this season. Nunn is logging 15.6 points, 3.4 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game.

They have both been part of the reason why the Heat have enjoyed a resurgent season thus far.

Before the season was put on hold to stall the spread of the novel coronavirus, the Heat had won five of their last seven games and had a comfortable hold on the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.

The team appeared to be poised to finish the regular season strongly before heading into what it hoped would be a deep playoff run.

Now, Nunn and Herro, along with the rest of the NBA, will have to wait to see what will come of the rest of the season.

The hope is that it will start back up at some point in the near future.

When it does, both rookies are sure to continue making major contributions for Miami.
