During Wednesday night’s win against the Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo went down with what looked to be a severe knee injury. Preliminary reports have shown that the guard is likely out for the season.
Throughout the league, players – including Miami’s Hassan Whiteside – have already taken to social media to offer their condolences.

In the comments of a House of Highlights Instagram post, Whiteside posted his support for Oladipo.
It’s awful news any time a player loses a season to injury and it’s especially sad when you look at the star status Oladipo had achieved since coming to Indiana.
This season, it looked like the 26-year-old would be an All-Star for the second straight year. Despite missing 11 games due to injury, he was an exceptional leader for the Pacers. In 35 games, he averaged 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 1.7 steals.
With Oladipo’s season likely over, the Pacers will have some questions to answer in terms of their rotation. The Feb. 7 trade deadline is on the horizon and there may be opportunity to pick up some immediate relief if the front office deems it necessary.
Regardless of the what happens during the final months of this season, all eyes will be on Oladipo’s recovery.
