Dwyane Wade Takes Offense to Being Known as ‘LeBron’s Teammate’ on Social Media

LeBron James and Dwyane Wade

Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade has one of the most decorated resumes in NBA history.

Therefore, when the guard saw that he was referred to as just one of LeBron James’ teammates in a graphic, he took offense to it on social media.

Before James came to Miami in 2010, Wade was considered one of the best players in the association.

In fact, there were stints where he was in a higher echelon than James. Most notably, Wade separated himself from the rest of the 2003 draft class after the 2006 NBA Finals.

Despite being in just his third year, Wade led the Heat back from a 2-0 deficit against the Dallas Mavericks to give Miami its first championship in franchise history. The All-Star averaged 34.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 2.7 steals during the 2006 NBA Finals.

During the two friends’ time together in Miami, they dominated the league. The pair went to four NBA Finals, won two championships and recorded the second-longest winning streak in NBA history.

Now, Wade is retired while James is vying for a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Heat’s all-time leading scorer finished his career with averages of 22.0 points, 5.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds per game.
