Zia Cooke of Rogers High School has taken the world of basketball by storm as of late, and Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade has taken notice.
When a video of Cooke’s 43-point explosion over East Kentwood High School in the Best of Michigan Holiday Classic went viral, Wade couldn’t help but respect her game.

From the video, it’s clear that one does not need years of NBA experience to recognize Cooke’s profound talent. Once she’s done dominating high school basketball at the end of this season, she’ll start her collegiate career as a five-star recruit at the University of South Carolina.
Though it’s surely quite the incredible experience to have Wade remark on and retweet your own highlight video, Cooke took to Twitter to promise that she’ll remain humble despite her newfound fame.
All the fame is great 💯 but I’ll never change who i am, I’m going to remain the same and keep being humble. I appreciate the love tho fr 🙏🏽
