Former Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade was once known as one of the more ferocious dunkers in the NBA. His combination of speed and strength resulted in some iconic flourishes at the rim.
Wade took to Twitter on Sunday night to post a throwback picture of one such dunk.
It wasn’t long before San Antonio Spurs star Dejounte Murray took a lighthearted shot at Wade in the post’s comments section. Unsurprisingly, Wade had the perfect response lined up and ready to go.
Wade is certainly one to admit that his athletic ability is no longer what is used to be. Of course that fact makes perfect sense, as the 16 seasons Wade played in have certainly taken their toll.
Though, someone may still want to remind Murray that even though Wade can’t dunk like he used to, he can still ball. In Wade’s final season in the NBA, he averaged 15.0 points, 4.2 assists, and 4.0 rebounds per game.
Those numbers are far better than any season averages Murray has managed to post in his young NBA career thus far.
