The first episode of the new documentary series “The Last Dance” certainly lived up to the hype.
Based on his social media activity during the premiere, Miami Heat icon Dwyane Wade is loving the new series so far.
Wade, who retired from the NBA in 2019, is a huge fan of the series’ primary subject: Michael Jordan.
Although Wade is 38 years old now, the series likely took him back to his days of watching Jordan as a child. After all, the Chicago-born guard grew up as Jordan and the Bulls took over the NBA in the 1990s.
The 10-part documentary chronicles the Bulls’ 1997-98 season, the last of six championship runs Jordan led Chicago on. Several NBA stars, including Wade, are featured on the ESPN telecast.
Jordan concluded his career with averages of 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game.
