According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com, the Miami Heat are prepared to offer coveted point guard Goran Dragic a five-year $80 million deal.

The 29-year-old point guard has already stated that he would bypass his player option for next season to become a free agent on July 1.

The Heat are the only team that can offer Dragic a five-year deal this summer, who has said in the past that he had “great time” playing with the Heat and has said more than one occasion that he “wants to come back.”

A five-year maximum deal for the point guard can go high as $100 million, however if the Heat want to retain both Dwyane Wade and Luol Deng, $80 million over five years may be Miami’s best option.

Other teams vying for Dragic such as the Los Angeles Lakers and New York Knicks can offer him as much as $85 million.
